Amethyst
For the woman who already knows — she just wants to trust it.
You know that quiet inner voice that turns out to be right almost every time — the one you sometimes talk yourself out of? Amethyst is the stone that helps you listen.
The stone itself
Amethyst is purple quartz, a 7 on the Mohs scale, and its colour is a quiet bit of earth-alchemy: traces of iron in the crystal plus millions of years of the ground's natural radiation, which together create the tiny "colour centres" that turn it violet.
Its name is Greek — amethystos, meaning "not intoxicated." The ancient Greeks believed it kept the head clear, and carved wine cups from it so they could drink all night and stay sharp. Today the best-known sources are Brazil, Uruguay and Zambia. One care note: keep it out of harsh sun — too much UV can gently lighten that purple.
What it does for you
It sharpens your intuition and every kind of subtle sensing — noticing what's hidden, hearing what isn't said — while it calms the noise and brings your clarity back.
Who it's for
The intuitive woman, who feels far more than she lets on and wants to honor it instead of doubting it.
